MORE TH>N Official Partner for Earth Hour
On Saturday 26 March 2011 millions of people around the world will turn off the lights, in what is set to be the biggest Earth Hour ever.
As Earth Hour’s official UK partner MORE TH>N will be urging its customers, business partners, employees and the public to get involved, turn their lights off and take a stand against climate change.
WWF’s Earth Hour has grown into a global movement since its humble beginnings in 2002. Every year, landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Eiffel Tower, The Golden Gate Bridge and The Houses of Parliament plunge into darkness as their lights are switched off to raise awareness for a cause that grows more urgent every hour.
"We're really excited about supporting Earth Hour in 2011 as part of our ongoing support for WWF with our parent company, RSA. Earth Hour is a fantastic, global event that unites people in a common and important goal - taking action on climate change. We're really proud to be working with WWF again and know that this year will be even bigger and better than 2010”, explains Pete Markey, Marketing Director of MORE TH>N.
As part of their support, MORE TH>N is giving away the chance to win £500 for one lucky person to put on their own Earth Hour event for their friends and family. Click here to enter through Facebook and this could be you!
Earth Hour starts at 8.30pm (local time) for one hour. To sign up and take part, simply go to the Earth Hour website for more information: http://earthhour.wwf.org.uk/.
