Managing water
Water has become a thing of extremes. Flooding and drought are more frequent than ever and are likely to increase further as a result of climate change.
How we manage our water has become a vital issue. Through simple measures such as leak prevention monitors and smart metering, water can be saved and losses for customers reduced.
In heavily populated areas and at times of excessive rainfall, managing floodwater is essential. Using Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems such as constructed wetlands, ponds, grass filter strips and other porous surfaces can help with the overflow and improve water quality.
